Born in Colmar in 1994, He lives and works in Mulhouse. Jacques Herrmann graduated in 2019 from a DNSEP in Art at the Haute Ecole des Arts du Rhin with the highest honours from the jury.
In his practice J. Herrmann intends to generate a space with a physical and an optical experience. At the intersection of abstraction, minimalism and conceptual painting, he nourishes his reflection around the landscape, and its composition with the history of painting. The diversity of the pictorial field and its peripherals are as many territories of experimentation that allow it to widen the limits of his painting and its practice.
