Olivier MOSSET
This new chapter unfolds as the artist, Olivier Mosset, deepens his exploration of chameleon paint, driven by the urge to push the limits of perception and material.
After months of experimentation, observing how the pigments react to light, testing multiple layers on various surfaces, refining each gesture, we reached a point where technique and material merge into a single, fluid language. What emerged is the result of persistence, precision, and the exceptional expertise of all our partners involved at every stage of the process.
These efforts have crystallized into two new editions: a pair of sculptures that reveal themselves differently from every angle, shifting with the movement of the viewer and the surrounding light. Each object embodies the unique tension between minimal gesture and optical vibration, a hallmark of the artist’s ongoing research.
These editions also resonate with a recent milestone in this exploration: the creation of a unique artwork : a 1980 Harley-Davidson custom chopper, entirely finished with chameleon paint and presented at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Biel. The two new sculptures extend this momentum, translating the same material intensity and chromatic instability into a more concentrated sculptural form.
Empowered by Olivier Mosset’s trust and motivated by the desire to innovate, Symetria continues to expand. A dedicated focus on advanced processes and special editions is now taking shape, reinforcing our commitment to ambitious and pioneering projects
